On the hunt for a breakout season, Christian Bogle will return for his third year in INDY NXT by Firestone. Returning to HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing for the second year, the season will commence this weekend in the streets of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida at the 1.8 mile, 14-turn temporary street circuit.
Last season, Bogle earned a best finish of fourth on the Streets of Belle Isle. Returning to a street course, Bogle is still chasing down his first INDY NXT by Firestone podium. With multiple top-ten finishes last season, Bogle will be looking to consistently break into the top-five as he continues to chase his dreams of competing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
Now in his second season with the team, Bogle will continue to work with his engineer from last year, Kevin Eichler. With an already-established relationship, Bogle and Eichler will continue to build upon their results from last season.
In the weeks leading up to the start of the season, Bogle competed in the Asian Le Mans series in February. The four-race championship consisted of two back-to-back double-header weekends. Spending two weeks in Dubai, Bogle raced alongside his HMD Motorsports teammate, Nolan Siegel, and HMD Motorsports driver coach Charles “CR” Crews. In the second race of the championship, the HMD trio, racing for InterEuropol, took home the win to kick off 2023.
Leading the NTT INDYCAR SERIES through the weekend, INDY NXT will have one practice on Friday and one on Saturday in preparation for qualifying Saturday afternoon. The first race of the season will begin on Sunday at 9:50 AM as 18 drivers take the green flag.
