With one oval race remaining on the 2023 INDY NXT by Firestone calendar, Christian Bogle will compete this weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway in his #7 Pelican Energy entry prepared by HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing. The 11th round of the 14-race schedule this weekend will mark the beginning of a three-week sprint to finish out the season.
So far this season, Bogle has shown substantial growth from previous seasons as he now is consistently competing for top-ten results in one of the largest INDY NXT by Firestone fields in recent years, with a best finish of sixth this year. With WWTR the second oval of the season, Bogle showed strong pace at the first oval event at Iowa Speedway and was running in seventh before a race control penalty during a caution sent him to the back of the field. Now returning to oval racing, Bogle is confident that his strong pace at Iowa Speedway will transition over to World Wide Technology Raceway as he runs the 1.25-mile circuit.
Similar to Iowa Speedway, each of the four corners at World Wide Technology Raceway provides varying degrees of banking which require the driver to set up differently entering each turn, resulting in exciting racing and close finishes as each turn must be perfect.
Sharing the track with the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in a short weekend, INDY NXT by Firestone will again partake in a single-day event with practice, qualifying and the 75-lap race all taking place on Saturday in between NTT INDYCAR SERIES sessions.
