The INDY NXT by Firestone is home in Indiana for a double-header race weekend at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway to help kick off the Month of May. HMD Motorsports driver Christian Bogle, who earned a top-ten result on the Streets of St. Petersburg to kick off the season, wants to make the most of the weekend, advance in the championship standings and would like nothing more than to battle at the front of the field this weekend.

Last time out at Barber Motorsports Park, Bogle moved forward during the race on a track where passing can be challenging, ultimately finishing 13th after starting deeper in the field.

“We had a tough weekend at Barber because of where we qualified,” Bogle said. “Starting back in 17th is not ideal at what is known as one of the more difficult tracks to pass at. With that being said, I’m proud of the fact that we were able to fight forward and gain a few positions throughout the race.”

Following up his top-ten finish at the opening round, the Pelican Energy Consultant driver sits 12th in the championship standings in a very tight points battle.

Bogle added, “It’s always an incredible experience to race at the Speedway, especially during May. To get to race there not once but twice this weekend provides two opportunities at solid results.”

Bogle and the rest of the INDY NXT field will first hit the 2.439-mile, 14-turn road course for practice Friday morning. Then, qualifying and race one will follow. Race two is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
