The end of the 2022 Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires season is in sight as Christian Bogle and HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing head to the West Coast for the final three races of the year. To wrap up the season, Indy Lights will hold a single race this coming weekend at Portland International Raceway followed by a double-header weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca the following week.
So far this season, Christian Bogle has earned a best finish of fourth on the streets of Detroit. Since then, Bogle has earned a handful of top-ten finishes, but he is looking to break back into the top-five as the season comes to a close. Last season in Portland, Bogle gained four positions in the two races that were held for a pair of top-ten results. For HMD Motorsports, who Bogle was not racing with last season, the team claimed six top-five results. Coming in with a strong team and continually improving results, Bogle is on track for a strong result this weekend.
“I really enjoy both the Portland and Laguna Seca facilities and love to see the improvement from year-to-year,” expressed Bogle. “I have continually been better this season and the speed and results to prove that. We have a long-term goal, and I like the trajectory that we are on.”
The Indy Lights series will first take to the track on Friday for the first of two practice sessions. Following the NTT INDYCAR SERIES on Saturday, Bogle will have an additional practice session prior to qualifying on Saturday. Drivers will then take to the 12-turn course on Sunday for the 35-lap Indy Lights Grand Prix of Portland.
